In addition to the bilateral responsibilities, the PNG High Commission in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia also covers a number of Regional and International Organizations that have their Head Offices based in Kuala Lumpur. These include the Association of Natural Rubber Producing Countries (ANRPC), INFOFISH and Asia-Pacific Regional Broadcasting Office.
The Mission’s main responsibility is to monitor developments in the work of the regional organizations on issues of mutual interest to PNG and report to relevant PNG Authorities and agencies.
The Mission is also responsible for United Nations Economic and Social Commission of Asia-Pacific (UNESCAP) matters and the High Commissioner is the Papua New Guinea Permanent Representative.
